Happy Monday!
Last week, we got rid of the guilt.
This week, we build the skill.
Let's start with a confession.
Have you ever typed something like this into ChatGPT?
"Write an email to my client about the project delay."
And the output was... fine? But also generic. Corporate. Definitely not YOU.
So you spent 15 minutes rewriting it. And thought: "Bakit pa ako nag-AI kung ganito rin?"

I've been there.
💭 The problem isn't AI. The problem is the prompt.
AI gave you exactly what you asked for.
Imagine asking a stranger to write an email for you. They don't know your voice. They don't know your client. They don't know if you're casual or formal.
So they guess. And they guess wrong.
That's what happens when you give AI a task without context. You're asking a stranger to sound like you — without telling them who you are.
No context about your client. No tone guidance. No specifics about the situation.
So AI filled in the blanks with generic corporate-speak. That's all it could do.
🤝 Think of it like delegating to a new team member
If you say: "Write an email."
You'll get: A generic email.
But if you say: "Write a friendly update to Sarah — she's been worried about the delay. Keep it warm. Mention we're back on track by Friday. Don't over-apologize."
You'll get: Something you can actually send.
AI works the same way.
♟️The rule is simple:
Garbage in, garbage out.
Clarity in, clarity out.
The VAs getting fast, usable results from AI aren't smarter than you. They just learned how to give clear instructions.
Try this:
Next time you use AI, just notice how much information you give it. That's all. No changes yet. Just pay attention.
Did you tell it who you're writing to? What tone to use? How long it should be?
Or did you just say "write an email" and hope for the best?
Just notice. We'll fix it tomorrow.
Learning clear prompts is a skill. And I can teach you.
The free 10-day AI course teaches you exactly that — how to write prompts that give you usable outputs, not generic garbage. Start now and you'll be ahead by tomorrow's lesson.

P.S. — If you're a VA who wants to stop worrying about AI and start earning more because of it, 200+ Filipinas inside UpSkill AI are doing exactly that. See the plans here →
