Happy Monday!

Hope you had a restful Holy Week. 🙏

Let's pick up where we left off.

Before the break, you wrote your rate increase message. Maybe you even sent it.

And now the fear is creeping in:

"What if they say no? What if they get mad? What if I lose them?"

😅 Gets ko.

Let's settle this today. Because most clients WON'T push back. But if they do — here's exactly what to say.

💬 Scenario 1: "That's too high."

What to say:

"I understand. This reflects the quality and speed I'm now able to deliver. If budget is tight, we could look at reducing scope — but I'm not able to continue at the current rate."

Firm but respectful. You're not begging. You're stating facts.

💬 Scenario 2: "Can we do a smaller increase?"

What to say:

"I appreciate that. I can do $[SLIGHTLY LOWER] for the next 3 months as a transition, then move to $[FULL RATE]. Does that work?"

You're flexible, pero may boundary pa rin. Hindi ka nag-cave completely.

💬 Scenario 3: They say no and you part ways.

This one stings. Hindi ko ita-try i-sugarcoat.

But here's the truth:

A client who won't pay your fair rate was never going to. You just freed up space for one who will.

🎯 The mindset shift:

A "no" isn't rejection. It's information.

Some clients are wrong-fit. That's okay.

The clients who say YES? Those are the ones worth building with.

Permission granted:

You're allowed to lose clients who don't value you.

That's not failure. That's filtering.

The conversation is scary for 5 minutes. The higher rate lasts forever.

Try this: Read the 3 scenarios again. Out loud. Practice your response to Scenario 1. Feel the words in your mouth. Because when the moment comes — you'll be ready.

Speaking of handling tough conversations — let's talk about the OTHER fear VAs have.
