Happy Wednesday!
Yesterday you listed the 5 things your client asks about most. Those are the 5 tiles of their dashboard — you already designed the first draft in 2 minutes.
Today, the blueprint to turn that draft into a client-ready deliverable.
5 components. 5 AI prompts. 3 pricing tiers. Zero code. Save this email. Screenshot it. Forward it. This is the playbook for the whole week — and the last output blueprint of the series.

⚡ 1: The Snapshot (Top-of-Dashboard Status)
What it is: The 5-second glance — the 3-5 numbers or statuses that answer "is everything okay?" at the very top.
Why it earns premium: It's the whole point. Instant reassurance without scrolling. This is what the client opens the tab for.
What to include:
3-5 top metrics/statuses
Clear on-track / attention / blocked indicator per item
Last-updated timestamp
🤖 AI prompt:
"I'm building a client dashboard for a [TYPE OF CLIENT] and my role is [YOUR SERVICE]. Suggest the 3-5 most important 'at a glance' metrics or statuses to show at the very top — the ones that answer 'is everything okay?' For each: what it shows, why the client cares, and a simple way to display status (e.g., on-track/attention/blocked). Keep it non-technical."
📋 2: The Live Work View (What's In Progress)
What it is: A simple board or table showing current tasks or projects and their status — the "what's happening right now" section.
Why it earns premium: Replaces the "where are we on X?" question entirely. The client sees the answer themselves.
What to include:
Current items with status (not started / in progress / done / blocked)
Owner per item
Optional due date
🤖 AI prompt:
"Help me design a simple 'work in progress' view for a client dashboard in [Notion / Google Sheets]. It should show current tasks or projects with: item name, status, who's responsible, and due date. Give me the column/property structure and a clean way to show status visually. No code — just how to set it up in the tool."
📈 3: The Numbers Section (Trends Over Time)
What it is: The 2-4 metrics that matter, shown as simple trends — this week vs. last, or this month vs. last.
Why it earns premium: Trends turn raw activity into insight. The client sees direction, not just a snapshot.
What to include:
2-4 tracked metrics
Period-over-period comparison
A one-line plain-language note on each ("up because of X")
🤖 AI prompt:
"For a [TYPE OF CLIENT] dashboard, I want to track these metrics: [LIST]. In [Google Sheets / Notion], show me how to set up a simple period-over-period comparison (this week vs last, or this month vs last) with a basic chart. Write any formulas I'd need. Explain it for a non-technical person."
🗂️ 4: The Resource Hub (Everything In One Place)
What it is: The links, docs, logins, and key files the client always asks for — gathered in one findable spot.
Why it earns premium: Kills the "can you send me that link again?" cycle. Everything the client needs, self-serve.
What to include:
Key links (drives, tools, docs)
Important files
Contacts
A short "how to use this dashboard" intro note
🤖 AI prompt:
"Help me structure a 'resource hub' section for a client dashboard — a single place for the links, files, logins, and contacts a [TYPE OF CLIENT] regularly needs. Suggest sensible categories and a clean layout for [Notion / Google Sheets], plus a short 'how to use this dashboard' intro I can put at the top."
📝 5: The Auto-Summary (AI-Written Plain-Language Update)
What it is: A short, refreshable written summary at the top or bottom — "here's what this dashboard is telling you right now" in plain words.
Why it earns premium: Bridges data and meaning. Even a client who hates numbers gets the story in two sentences.
What to include:
2-3 sentence plain-language read of the current state
Any one thing that needs their attention
Refresh cadence (weekly, biweekly, etc.)
🤖 AI prompt:
"Here's the current data on my client's dashboard: [PASTE KEY NUMBERS/STATUSES]. Write a 2-3 sentence plain-language summary a non-technical client can read in 10 seconds: what's going well, anything that needs their attention, and the overall status. Warm, clear, no jargon. I'll update this each week."
💰 The pricing framework:
Starter tier — $400-500 (~₱24,000-30,000): A single-view dashboard. Components 1, 2, 4 only. Good for one project or a simple engagement.
Standard tier — $550-650 (~₱33,000-39,000): The full 5-component dashboard, in one tool, with the auto-summary. Default.
Premium tier — $700-800 (~₱42,000-48,000): Full dashboard + connected data (live-linked sheets or tools) + monthly upkeep and refresh built into a retainer.
Most VAs should start at Standard — or build a simple one free for a current client to prove the value, then price the next.
⚖️ One thing to be honest about:
You're not building a "data platform." You're building a useful view of things the client already asks about.
If you're new to dashboards: Build simple first. A 5-tile Snapshot that actually gets used beats a fancy multi-page dashboard that intimidates. Start with Components 1 and 4 only — that's already useful.
If you don't have clients yet: Build a sample dashboard for a made-up business in your target niche. AI can generate realistic sample data — ask it. That sample becomes your portfolio piece: "I don't just give updates. I build the view you run on."
Either way: the dashboard ends with a 10-minute recorded walkthrough for the client. That video is a senior move — it makes the whole deliverable feel high-touch, and it kills the "but can they use it?" worry before it starts.
Need copy-paste prompts for the client conversations around this —
pitching the dashboard, handling "can you add [X]?" requests, the walkthrough recording script? The AI Reply Kit is free. 10 prompt templates that pair perfectly with the workflow above.

🛠️ The no-code build method:
Step 1 — Pick the tool the client already lives in. Notion or Google Sheets. Don't add a new tool to their life. Use what they already open.
Step 2 — Use the 5 AI prompts to design each section. Let AI write the formulas, the structures, the auto-summaries. You're arranging information, not programming.
Step 3 — Build simple first. A dashboard that gets used beats a fancy one that intimidates. You can always add later.
Step 4 — Record a 10-minute walkthrough. Loom, phone screen recording, whatever's easiest. Send it with the dashboard. This is what separates senior VAs from junior ones — the delivery is as thought-through as the build.
Master template with AI: a few hours.
Per-client customization after that: ~30 minutes.
If you have active clients now: Build it in the tool your client already uses. Start with the 5 tiles you identified yesterday.
If you don't have clients yet: Build a sample dashboard for a made-up business in your target niche. AI can generate realistic sample data if you ask it. Straight into your portfolio.
Try this: Open a blank Notion page or Google Sheet right now. Build just Component 1 — the Snapshot. Put the 5 status items you listed yesterday across the top of the page. Give each one a simple on-track / attention / blocked indicator.
In 15 minutes you'll have the first tile of a $400-800 deliverable. Don't try to build all 5 components today. Build Component 1. The rest of the dashboard grows from that anchor.
Tomorrow: "I'm not technical enough for this" — and every other fear stopping you. Let's clear them before Friday's finale.
