Happy Thursday!

Yesterday you tried the move — AI takes the first pass, you make the call.

And if you actually did it, you probably felt two things at once.

Relief: "Uy, ang bilis."

And right behind it, the quieter one:

😰 "Kung kaya na ng AI gawin ang mga tasks... saan na ako dito?"

It's a real question. It deserves an honest answer — not a pep talk. Let's take it seriously.

😰 "Papalitan ba ako ng AI na kaya nang gumawa?"

Here's what's actually shifting: the work is moving from doing every step yourself to directing and checking the work.

That doesn't erase you. It moves you up.

The person who sets the goal, guides the AI, and decides what's good enough — that's the valuable one. And businesses themselves say it: the vast majority see AI as something that augments their people, not replaces them.

The typing was never your value. The judgment was.

🤖 "Kailangan ko bang sabayan lahat ng bago?"

No. You direct — you don't memorize the whole landscape.

Remember Monday: even companies using AI are mostly still early. Nobody is keeping up with everything, kahit yung mga nagyayabang online.

You're not required to know every tool. You're required to guide one well.

😅 "Paano kung mali ang gawa ng AI?"

It will be. Sometimes.

AI can hand you something that looks polished and is still wrong — even large companies have sent out AI work with made-up details, because nobody checked.

That's not a reason to fear AI. That's the reason you matter.

The human who catches the mistake is doing the part AI can't. That's not a small job. That's THE job.

(And that skill — spotting when AI is confidently wrong — is a whole thing on its own. More on that tomorrow.)

Why the director doesn't get replaced.

The VA who only types every step is doing what AI now does.

The VA who directs the work, checks it, and owns the final call is doing what AI can't.

One of those is replaceable. The other is exactly the person 2026 needs more of.

You get to choose which one you become — and it starts with one directed task.

Permission, in case you need it: You're allowed to let AI do the first pass. You're allowed to not know everything. Your value was never in typing the most words — it's in the judgment about what's right, what's ready, and what to send.

Try this: Next time AI drafts something for you, don't just accept it. Find one thing it got wrong — a wrong detail, an off tone, a missing point — and fix it.

That one correction is you being the director. That's the job that doesn't get replaced.

Learning to direct is faster with people who are a step ahead.

The Growth Plan — $29/month / ~₱1,760 — is weekly live coaching with me, plus 200+ Filipinas making the same shift. Bring the AI draft you weren't sure about. We check it together.

Tomorrow: we pull the whole week together — and I tell you about something new starting Monday.

P.S. — If you're a VA who wants to stop worrying about AI and start earning more because of it, 200+ Filipinas inside UpSkill AI are doing exactly that. See the plans here →
