Hindi joke. The head of Anthropic — the company behind Claude — published an essay calling for slower development of the most powerful AI systems. Within a day, OpenAI's Sam Altman and xAI's Elon Musk publicly agreed. Altman said it's been a major topic inside OpenAI in recent weeks.
After years of faster, bigger, more — the loudest conversation at the top of the industry is now about control.
💭 What that means for you:
The market's center of gravity is moving from raw capability to trust and judgment — who can use these tools well, catch what they get wrong, stay accountable.
Sound familiar? That's the exact skill set you just built. Hindi ka huli. You're early.
📱 The quieter story: AI is becoming furniture.
Apple's redesigned, AI-powered Siri started rolling out this month — in beta, English first, on newer iPhones — as a free software update, built on AI models made with Google.
Look past the fine print and see the direction: AI isn't an app you go download anymore. It's becoming part of the phone itself. Papunta na 'yan sa default.
For you: clients will stop asking "do you use AI?" the way nobody asks "do you use the internet?" Access is losing its edge — soon everyone will have it. Judgment is the edge. And that one, you own.
🎯 So here's the week:
I read the AI news so you don't have to. Tuesday: what's worth your attention. Wednesday: one thing worth trying. Thursday: what to ignore, guilt-free. Friday: the takeaway.
Not "what's new" — "what's worth your limited time." Malaki ang difference.
Try this: Today, notice one thing in any AI headline: is it about capability (faster, bigger) — or control (safety, trust, judgment)?
Count the control stories. That ratio is the market telling you which skill is rising.
