Happy Wednesday!

Yesterday you saw the difference between the forwarder and the thinker. Same AI answer — different value.

Today, the habit that keeps you on the thinker's side. Isang habit lang. No framework, no steps.

💬 The scene:

A client asks how to handle something.

And before you've formed any opinion at all, your fingers are already typing: "AI, what should I do about..."

See what happened? The thinking got outsourced at the very first step. Whatever comes back is now the starting point — and your brain just becomes the editor of AI's idea.

🔄 The flip:

Think first. Then ask.

Instead of "AI, what should I do?" — start with "here's what I think. Poke holes in it."

Ikaw muna, saka ang AI.

Form your own quick answer — even a rough one, even thirty seconds' worth. Then bring it to AI: pressure-test it, add options, catch what you missed.

You end with a decision that's yours — sharpened by the tool, not replaced by it.

🎯 Why something this small changes everything:

It keeps you in the driver's seat. AI becomes a thinking partner, not a thinking replacement.

"AI, decide this" makes you a forwarder.

"Here's my take — sharpen it" makes you the thinker who uses AI.

Same tool. Opposite relationship.

(If you have clients now: try it on your next real decision today. If you're still working toward your first: practice on any choice in your own day — even a small one.)

Try this: Next time you'd normally ask AI "what should I do?" — flip it. Write your own answer first, even a rough one. Then ask AI to improve it.

Notice how differently you feel about the final call. Sa'yo 'yun.

(For the drafting side, the AI Reply Kit is free — 10 prompt templates for client messages. Use them to sharpen your take, not replace it.)

Tomorrow: the fear underneath all of this — "if AI thinks faster than me, why does my thinking even matter?" Let's answer it honestly.

P.S. — If you're a VA who wants to stop worrying about AI and start earning more because of it, 200+ Filipinas inside UpSkill AI are doing exactly that. See the plans here →
