Here’s what’s happening:
AI skills are starting to split the VA market into two tiers.
AI-skilled VAs are earning about 25% to 60% more than similar VAs without AI skills.
Hindi siya small increase. It’s a different tier.
✅ Quick example (so you can feel it):
Entry-level VA: $3 to $4.50/hr (about ₱180 to ₱270/hr)
AI-skilled specialist: $7 to $15+/hr (about ₱420 to ₱900+/hr)
😅 And here’s the funny part:
A lot of clients will pay that premium even if they can’t explain AI well.
They just know they want “faster output” and “less back-and-forth.”
E-commerce ops (product listings, customer replies, SOP updates)
Automation support (Zapier/Make workflows)
Real estate admin (coordination, docs, follow-ups)
Healthcare and telehealth admin (scheduling, notes, forms)
🎯 What’s at risk (and getting automated first):
Basic data entry
Manual transcription
Simple scheduling
Generic “generalist VA” work with no specialization
Nakikita mo na ba ’to? The more repeatable the work is, the faster it gets automated.
Try This (today, 10 minutes): Open your service list (or your Upwork profile) and make two columns:
At Risk: Tasks you do that are repeatable and “same every time.”
Premium: Tasks where you decide, write, improve, and manage systems.
Then pick one “At Risk” task and rewrite it as a Premium offer.
Example: “Data entry” becomes “AI-assisted database cleanup + weekly reporting.”
If you want, you don’t have to figure that “Premium offer” alone.
