Yesterday you thought about your clients. Who energizes you. Who drains you.
Today, let's name them.
Every VA — no matter how experienced — will meet these 5 client types. The skill is recognizing them EARLY.
✨ Client Type 1: The Dream Client
Signs: Clear instructions, respects boundaries, pays on time, gives feedback you can actually use.
Strategy: Keep them. Nurture the relationship. Ask for referrals. Huwag mo silang pakawalan.
🙌 Client Type 2: The Hands-Off Client
Signs: Gives you freedom, minimal check-ins, trusts your judgment.
Strategy: Great if you're experienced. Send proactive updates so they know you're on it — kahit hindi nila hinihingi.
🔬 Client Type 3: The Micromanager
Signs: Wants updates constantly, checks every detail, struggles to delegate.
Strategy: Over-communicate EARLY. Send updates before they ask. Build trust slowly. They're not bad — just anxious.
📈 Client Type 4: The Scope Creeper
Signs: "One more thing..." "While you're at it..." Tasks grow pero rate stays the same.
Strategy: Document everything. Restate scope before starting. Address creep immediately — politely pero firmly.
🚩 Client Type 5: The Red Flag Client
Signs: Disrespectful communication, late payments, unrealistic expectations, ignores boundaries.
Strategy: Exit. Or don't start. Life's too short. Hindi worth it kahit maganda ang bayad.
🎯 The key:
You'll meet all five. That's normal.
The skill is recognizing them EARLY — ideally before you sign.
Dream clients look like dream clients from the first message. Red flags? They show up early too. You just have to pay attention.
Try this: Think about your current clients. Which type is each one? Be honest.
Write it down:
